The message shows up during current normal operation (though pinch process could be refined to prevent it). The program should always defer to the .ann, since someone had to mark that as complete. I can't imagine a situation in which the .tmp would be more complete/correct than the .ann. The resulting file should show up in the audio files list like a normal complete file; perhaps a warning if the user re-opens it and a .tmp exists as well?
