Kernel Panic on boot with ubertooth one attached. #145

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Update pentoo installation on x86_64 system using wiki instructions.
2. Plug-in ubertooth dongle to usb port.
3. Reboot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to boot and not crash, but instead it boots and does so.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RC1.1 Updated using default set.

Need a little more info to understand the problem:

Where is "pentoo isntallation" installed?
What is on a dongle?

Can you take a screenshot/photo of the crash?
Can you try the latest stable kernel (sys-kernel/pentoo-sources-3.8.6)? (use
Gentoo manual to update it)

I'll attempt to reproduce with 3.8.6 on the plane. That's a wierd one, but I
agree with the expected output so we will find a way to fix this which
hopefully doesn't require a firmware upgrade on the ubertooth...
