"If you could add an action to change the page of a tab this action would
really make interfaces more advanced - switch-page 0/1/2/3 / ..."
The reasonably simple solution to this is to enable directives for the notebook
widget [within the parser] so that it will accept the variable directive, and
then the widget's shell variable can contain the page number which can be
refreshed from an input command or file. This is consistent with how other
widgets operate. Then you can have hidden pages that can be flipped in and out!
