currently no functionality for pulse as far as i can tell.

I'm going to be updating Gtkdialog again very soon so I'll have a look into 
this.

Thank you. this would be a very helpful function for processes that do not 
support any kind of progress output.

issue arose when writing a live installer. i managed to give accurate output 
for rsync, mkfs and any software installation (apt) still seems to be 
impossible.
