ebookdroid opens pdf from chrome link and produces error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I click on a pdf document link on my university website
2.Ebookdroid catches the link and opens the pdf on the app
3.pdf cannot be loaded and an error is displayed

What is the expected output?
PDF is opened in ebookdroid

What do you see instead?
Black screen with error message

What version of the product are you using?
V1.6.6

On what operating system?
Android 4.2.2

What device are you using?
Nexus 7

Please provide any additional information below.
An option to disable ebookdroid from opening browser links will be highly 
appreciated. If it exists please point me to the location in the settings

You can try tech preview version - it has such setting.
