Multi error #61

1) Updated peppy to version 0.40.0, which included the removal of the attmap functionality. 2) Enhanced the return information in the ValidationError to provide more detailed information. 3) Addressed issue #56 .

tests are failing because we didn't release peppy0.40.0 yet
