Subsamples tab poisons ability to save projects.

I pasted a config file in the Config tab, and then clicked Save, and now I can't save at all. I get this error:

To reproduce:

• go to any pep without subsamples.
• click on the subsamples tab.
• click back to the samples tab (or any other tab)

Now you can't save this project anymore.
