Issue with MATÉ + Compiz #66

Open subchee opened 12 years ago

If I use MATÉ with Compiz enabled I can't change the window border, it always remains the same. Screenshot: http://goo.gl/iQZ3s

Another issue with the same environment: Caja doesn't inherit the gtk2 theme when Compiz enabled. Screenshot: http://goo.gl/Vhxda

Without Compiz the window borders and Caja's gtk2 theme looks OK: http://goo.gl/pBnHo

Debian Wheezy i386 (up-to-date) / MATÉ 1.1.0 Lenovo ThinkPad T61 / Intel GMA965 / Intel C2D T7100@1.8GHz / 2GB RAM

Hi, we're having problems with Mate + compiz at the moment.

Might as well add the "aero snap" functionality to the list of issues. http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=206&t=88650

that is metacity?

This problem could be solved. If I start gtk-window-decorator manually like this: gtk-window-decorator --replace --metacity-theme "Equinox-iVolution Rounded" the named theme is being applied. So the current metacity window border theme name should be passed to gtk-window-decorator automatically.

Having the same issue as well. I'm guessing it's MATE not properly passing the theme to the window decorator because it's assuming that marco is the manager.
