Bug or suggestion? 1.16.5. Pillow paw glide mechanics make it difficult for dogs to attack. #419

Hello, I hope you are having a fantastic day.

As the title implies, the pillow paw trait once maxed out makes the dog glide at every jump it makes. Since the dog also jumps when it attacks an enemy, it more often than not just jumps over the enemy. Especially ranged enemies can then just take advantage of that and shoot the dog down while the dog itself does barely any damage. Like for example pillagers or skeletons. The idea for pillow paw is incredibly good, but the glide mechanic could perhaps be replaced with simple damage negation like a buffed version of feather fall. I understand that the gliding can be useful if you pick the trait wolf mount, but once you expect the dog to perform in combat it'll be a coin toss to perhaps not even pick the pillow paw trait.

I'm looking forward to your reply. Thank you for making this mod and letting us all enjoy it.

As a side question, where exactly would I need look to add custom textures to the available texture slots for the dogs? (The black and purple skins that show up when you go through what's available indicates missing textures. Does that mean I could add custom textures to it or is that not possible for now?)

Hey, thanks for taking the time to create this issue and I'm sorry I didn't get round to resolving it. I've not worked on this project for a while and have decided to archive the git repository. Fear not, there is a fork https://github.com/DashieDev/DoggyTalentsNext which might be of interest. I don't expect to be back within the Minecraft community so farewell and happy mining!
