Neatline editor not loading #452

Open david50s opened 6 years ago

david50s commented 6 years ago

I'm using Neatline v2.6.1 in an Omeka install version 2.6 Other specs: PHP | 5.5.22 (cgi-fcgi) OS | Linux 4.14.17 x86_64 MySQL Server | 5.6.37 The problem is that when I have the Neatline plugin installed and access the editor after filling out the Exhibit Settings info, the map (Open Street Map) continuously displays "Loading" in the lower right corner. The "Records" button in the left pane is unresponsive. "Styles" takes me to the styles form but the any entries I make there are not being saved. If I add the NeatLine Waypoints or Text plugin, the "Loading" message goes away but the left pane is completely blank. Any help would be welcome. Thanks david50s

This seems like some issue with JavaScript, either some of the libraries or assets aren't loading, or something else is causing the error. If you don't mind, can you see what, if anything, is the output in your browser's console? This Super User Stack Exchange answer describes how to get to the console in different browsers, but am happy to help you more here if needed.

Can you also share what other plugins you have installed, if any? Also, maybe see if you get a similar error in different browsers?

Hi, thanks for the response, This screen grab of the console with Waypoints widget active consolecapture Console is the same with no widgets or other Neatline pluggins active. I've also tried shutting down other plugins and have consistently gotten the same result.

I'm using Chrome. I've tried IE and Edge - same results other Pluggins are: Coins, CSS Editor, DocsViewer, Dropbox, Exhibit Builder, HTML5Media, NeatLine, NeatLIne Widget Text, NeatLIneWaypoints, Shortcode Carousel, Simple pages, Simple Vocab.

If you need to log into the site, I have set up a login you can use - User Name: diaguser Password: diag1749 The url is http://beavertaillight.org/archives Let me know if you don't need it or when you are done and I will kill the login.

Thanks for your help.

@david50s Thanks, Dave. I"m poking around your site, adn I have changed that password to something only I know. I do see the error on your own site, but its not something I can replicate on my own instance. we'll keep investigating, and send you an update. Sorry for this!

An update. I notice on another Omeka installation that I have with a different hosting service that Zend framework is listed in Omeka System Information. Zend is not listed as a PHP extension in my problem installation. Could this have a bearing on this problem?

jeremyboggs commented 6 years ago

Huh, that's curious. Can you share your full system information, for each one? Feel free to email me directly at jeremy@virginia.edu.
