Original issue 639 created by arlake228 on 2012-08-01T13:52:48.000Z:

A user describes the steps to reproduce and the solution:

>> I'm upgrading pSs from pS-PS ver. 3.2.1.1 to ver. 3.2.2 >> First thing I noticed is that previously, with ver. 3.2.1.1: >> Selecting >> "Toolkit Administration" >> "perfSONAR Logs" >> prompted for a login then brought up a list of pS logs. >> >> The updated ver. 3.2.2 prompts for a login then responds with: >> Forbidden >> You don't have permission to access /toolkit/admin/logs/ on this >> server. >> Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at ps.psc.xsede.org Port 443

Solution:

  1. Adding a .htaccess file to /var/log/perfsonar with the single line Options +Indexes
  2. Reverting to the /etc/httpd/conf.d/apache-toolkit_web_gui.conf file that was distributed with pS ver. 3.2.1.1 and included "Indexes" among the "Options" fields
