Today, after a Windows 11 update...

I still have the good emoji displaying in the emoji keyboard popup - but every app displays the bad emoji.

I checked the modification date of the .ttf file - it hasn't been changed.

How is this even possible? 😶

okay, maybe that was just phase 1 - as you noted in the README, now they don't work at all anymore.

what an absolute pile of horsesh*t.

buying a Windows 10 license and installing that isn't even going to make sense - with Win 12 on the horizon, Win 10 will be dead and unmaintained soon enough.

Well, Windows had a good 25-year run, but I guess it's finally time to switch to Linux. :-(
