What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run a program that drives a motor to a stuck/self-destructing/robot-breaking
condition
2. Try and stop it. The only way I know is to press & hold the power button,
which will take several seconds before it takes effect, during which time the
system will be grinding itself to death.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When a program is launched and running and motor power is enabled, the LCD
should default to a message that says "press button X to remove motor power"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.6.29.6 FW 4.0
Please provide any additional information below.
The Vex Cortex controller has a switch you can quickly flip to remove power.
The VexPro needs an equivalent capability. Perhaps the LCD/buttons should still
be usable for other purposes during motor runtime, but it should be possible to
kill motor power.
