mayavi scene (plot) windows are twitchy #9

While mayavi is much faster at drawing all of the dense grids for each spar cross-section, the memory usage is still high. Sometimes this makes all of the scene windows twitchy, and sometimes even crashes Python! : (

mayavi has been abandoned.
