Recently GNOME team added support for bidi language to their VTE widget which used by gnome terminal and other terminal environment like tilda. see what happened when using jcal -p switch:

week days header showed wrong. Is it something which should be fixed by VTE or by jcal?

I am not sure, I have the same issue in another terminal emulator, so I can say it is jcal.

I've just tested jcal in xterm which have no bidi support:

I also tested it using bicon for adding bidi support to xterm:

and it seems correct in both case.

FWIW, here is the result of my test in Xfce4-terminal, Alacritty and Konsole: image

jcal -V
jcal version 0.4.1 (libjalali-0.4.1gitd9200f)
