The slideshow feature mainly comprises of javascript, do you have this enabled
in your browser? Which browser are you using? Are you able to provide a link to
the gallery online so I can check myself?

I am ssh'd into my host now and have wiped the cache directory clean.

Will not browse there until I hear back.

My apologies, I have setup another test directory and unzipped the source
program there and the sample files do work in a slideshow, I will
investigate further and share my results.

No problem, I just tried the link you gave me and everytime I tried the
slideshow worked, i'm using firefox 27.0.1 as well. Are you still having the
issue after retrying?
