Could you please install this version:
http://pescuma.miranda.im/miranda/listeningtoW.log.zip and then play some songs 
in
winamp. It will write a log to c:\miranda_listeningto.log.txt . Could you 
please send

it does appear to be changing it but it only stays set for a few seconds then 
is 
changed back to nothing (can see it being set in the my status plugin and a 
friend 
could see it for a moment)

How are you setting it: to status message or to protocol specific listening to 
field
(shown with a headphone symbol in MSN).

If it is in the status message, could you try disabling Gamer and Custom Status 
List
plugins?

Disabled both plugins and it still happens

I stopped using ListeningTo a couple of months ago and switched to WATrack as 
the 
problem persisted

It seems to change my status to the music title aswell as xstatus, then keeps 
the 
status the same and updates the xstatus on change of music then changes xstatus 
to 
nothing playing a few seconds later till after the song changes again

plus when i stop the music it doesnt change back to my previous status message 
just 
changes to Nothing (don't know if that's by design or not)

I have no other plugins in winamp that sends listening info (that i know of, 
just 
the default winamp plugins and several input plugins), i used to have AMIP but 
haven't had that installed for a while now.

Another bug i've noticed i dont know if its My Details's or ListeningTo's 
problem 
(though its only happend when using ListeningTo) is that the status text moves 
up to 
the same line as the Username and is behind the Username text, usualy fixed by 
stopping and starting winamp playing.

Strange, because listening to is receiving notifications from windows media 
player 
too (that is the way that plugins that send listening info to MSN from winamp 
works). 
I probabily will need to do one more debug version and with some luck your 
problem 
will be fixed.

About the other bug, it is MyDetails fault. Which version are you using? (it is 
not 
in your vi)

I just remember'd that it may be last.fm i'm not sure if that installs a plugin 
or 
gets it another way but that could be what's causing it, i also have media

When i start playing and i have my own status set it seems to work perfectly, 
my 
status stays as it is and my xstatus changes to the appropriate  as long as i 
only 
progress the tracks with the next and previous buttons in winamp,

however if i stop the playback and start it again it changes my status and 
doesnt 
update the xstatus, and seems to do the same if i select a different song by 
double 
clicking something else on the playlist,

though after writing that above statment i checked my plugins and realised i 
still 
had watrack enabled, i disabled it and now Listening To appears to work 
perfectly, 
xstatus is changed every song change and status remains untouched.

Though having said this i've asked friends if they can see my music status and 
it 
doesnt show up on their messenger nor can i see it on my Grandmothers PC when 
logged 
into her msn account it just shows status.

Just my status even though my details is showing that i have xstatus set, i've 
also 
tried setting my status to nothing to see if xstatus shows and music doesnt 
show for 
them.

About WATrack, I'm assuming that it isn't enabled. I have not tested with it.

About the status, I could not understand something: ICQ has xstatus, MSN has 
not. MSN 
has separated listening information. To me seems like you are confusing both. 
What 
are you testing: ICQ or MSN?

WATrack is disabled as of the last test, before i was playing CD tracks though 
Listening To was reporting them as Radio

I was merley using the termonology of My Details and Listening To, i was 
testing 
MSN, after switching my music tracks to MP3's my music appears to be appearing 
on 
friends contact list.

I had not realised that the top half listening to info was for msn while the 
xstatus 
was for icq (and i'm assuming yahoo too?), plus was thrown off with the second 
status on my details i had assumed that was xstatus

The top half works for all protocols, and the bottom half for the ones that 
does not 
support listening info nativelly. MSN and jabber does support it, ICQ does not 
support, but xstatus is a good replacement. Yahoo I don't know and have to 
check.

In MyDetails the xstatus is shown in the same place as the status, and the 
other line 
is for listening info. 

If you have some tip as to how to make this options screen more user friendly 
I'd 
like to hear. I had not listened to any complains so far, so I was assuming 
everyone 
was understanding what it meant.

I thought yahoo for xstatus in my previous message because of the music icon 
status 
changing I thought it was for my yahoo but realised it was ICQ

I think the current system is fine.

I just scrolled though the protocol list and noticed there’s no listening to 
info 
for aim and yahoo is that normal? (though I can’t remember if those 
messengers have 
custom status messages as it's been so long), seems to work fine for my other 
protocols, GoogleItalk MSN, ICQ.

I did think of one suggestion for Listening To if that's ok, an option so that 
the 
contacts of the user only see’s the listening To info and not the Status 
message  
before it (as i'd personally prefere for it to show just listening to info 
while 
playing then fall back to status message instead of merging them together), and 
once 
there's nothing playing they see the status message, for msn any other where 
they 
are merged together like that

plus out of curiosity is there any plans to add a text variable like with 
watrack 
where you type /music (or ctrl + m and it auto types /music) and replaces 
"/music" 
with the listening info?, would be handy for IRC

About showing data: that is clist thing, ListeningTo only stores the data.
