settings not saving #26

Please could you explain the whole chmod777 thing so I can get full screen 
portrait with my icade

Ready to donate as imame is the best app for icade

  This is what you need to do. SSH into your iPad and then run this command on the two directories like this:

  chmod -R 777 /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/iMAME4a­ll
  chmod -R 777 /Applications/iMAME4all.app

  Make sure of the following:

  1) You're logged in as root
  2) You type in the commands case sensitive
  3) iMAME4all is not running

  You can use other apps but this works for sure.

Couldn't imame do it automatically ???

Ssh is really powerful. It is a remote secure console. Also you can use 
iFile... The one from Cydia. It is GUI filemanager very powerful which let you 
change file permissions also. The problem with 777 is the rom packages that are 
there.. Or the packaging itself. IMame can't change this file permission as it 
not run as root.

Right I have ifile but couldn't see how to do it. I found the files but 
couldn't see how to enter commands

I have just d/l winSCP

I can get to the 2 files on winSCP

I've tried adding a custom command - please could you talk me through that bit 
and I should be there :-)

Horay - I've done it - full screen in portrait !!!!

I'm just gonna try the covert rom business as i can't seem to get pacman / 
puckman working anymore (used to be fine ??)
