Add metrics in Prometheus format #9

this adds data presentation in Prometheus format at web server path /metrics. Prometheus format description.. tested in server clone with Prometheus and Grafana integration

reworked PR to match recent changes in main. ready for review. minor issues:

duplicated update duration timer
need to agree on URL for metrics
