feature request: syntax highlighter #24

I have been playing around with client side JavaScript source code highlighters in other projects and I think it would be useful here as well. The two key features I believe users benefit most from:

  1. Language specific syntax highlighting
  2. Line numbers

I am more than willing to add this feature in.

I'm sorry I never saw this ticket back when you submitted it.

I'd be glad to have syntax highlighting, if it would make things clearer in the code samples. Is this something you're still interested in doing?

Yes I am still planning on doing this. I still have a few more things to test out with the highlighters I found. I plan to attach a screenshot to this issue when I have it functioning and looking good.

Would you like to join the bobby-tables mailing list at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/bobby-tables ? That's where we're talking about upgrades and maintenance to the site. Right now we're talking about translations, but I suspect your syntax highlighting may take some work to wedge in there.
