with firefox 22.0 on ubuntu 12.04 feeds in subfolders of the feed list are not checked any more. check feeds button is useless unless firefox is restarted, then it works exactly one time. in previous versions i could at least close the sidebar, reopen it and then the button would work. no related output in tools/web developer/error console. opml export is broken as well

Can you tell me if you see this feed checking behavior with the latest beta release?

was using 1.5.1, but all described problems persist in freshly installed 1.5.2-beta

So you're still seeing the check feeds process hang and need to restart Firefox? Also, when you say sub folders, do you mean immediate children of the Sage Feeds folder?

42loop commented 10 years ago

i can click the button but just nothing happens, not even a 'checking feed ..' i had to move all entries to the top level and remove all folders in order so that the items are checked at all (after firefox restart)

Do you have any extensions installed that might be interfering with Sage? Could you try installing Sage on a fresh Firefox profile?

42loop commented 10 years ago

disabled all extensions except sage: same behaviour installing sage on an unused clean firefox install: same behaviour

I'm unable to reproduce the feed checking behavior you're describing here on Ubuntu 12.04 / Firefox 22. Can you think of anything that might be unique about your environment?
