Sage refuse to accept new Feed Location URL, keeps old URL. #77

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Subscribe to a feed (e.g. http://blog.christophertin.com/feeds/posts/default)
  2. Take down the old feed, i.e. make the feed URL yield a 404
  3. Put up a new feed at a different URL (e.g. http://christophertin.tumblr.com/rss)
  4. Click on the entry for the old feed. Blank web page appears. Sage URL is in Location bar: chrome://sage/content/feedsummary.html?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.christophertin.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault . Entry is marked with orange <!> icon. At top of Sage panel is a message, "Error: URL Not Available".
  5. Right click on entry for old feed... Properties...
  6. Paste new feed URL into "Feed Location" text box. Click [Save] button.
  7. Click on the entry for the old feed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected after 7: Contents of new feed appears.

Actually observed after 7: Same results as 4., i.e. Blank web page appears. Sage URL is in Location bar: chrome://sage/content/feedsummary.html?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fblog.christophertin.com%2Ffeeds%2Fposts%2Fdefault . Entry is marked with orange <!> icon. At top of Sage panel is a message, "Error: URL Not Available". Then, right click on entry for old feed... Properties... The old feed URL, not the new URL, is in the "Feed Location" text field.

What version of Sage are you using? 1.4.12

What version of Firefox are you using? On what operating system? 8.0.1, on Mac OS X 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.

From Peter.A....@gmail.com on October 18, 2012 03:46:34 Looks like you were trying to change the location of a Live Bookmark location and it wasn't accepting the change. This doesn't seem to be an option any longer (the field is now read only). Let me know if you're seeing something different.
