Cover and jewel case are wrong size on the Movie detail page - HVGA device #514

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a movie from the library
2. Get the movie details screen
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Well align and sized cover. The cover is not resized and the jewel case is
about 2 times taller than supposed to be.

What version of XBMC Remote are you using?
SVN - r768

Which Android device are you using (and which ROM, if custom)?
HVGA resolution, density 160

Which XBMC revision are you running and on which platform?

Please provide any additional information below.

Seeing the same thing on my Pandigital Novel (800 x 600 display with default
screen density of 240) Landscape mode produces similar results, the poster is
the correct size but the "jewel case" is stretched out just like the
screenshots indicate.

Any update on this issue? It's the only issue that everyone comments on when
they use my tablet to look up movies.

On the OS side of things I checked my settings: Screen density in build.prop
is at 240 which is default for my device. My tablet screen is 800 x 600 and
other apps scale just fine. In previous builds this used to work correctly, was
something changed so it now does not read the screen size correctly?

I tried changing roms on my tablet from Cyanogen mod 6 (android 2.2) back to
the stock OEM rom (android 2.1) thinking it was a rom issue, but that did not
fix it.

I cannot remember which build had this working, it was not long ago, Feb 2011
... whatever version was on the market at that time scaled the movie details
just fine (I do not have a copy of that APK anymore to compare or test).

I have eclipse loaded and was able to download the source code ... but I am not
sure what file would control this scaling. All other screens in the remote
work fine. Looking at the movie details xml file, nothing stands out to a non
android dev like me.

Looking for some guidance on what code effects this issue.

Is this still an issue? The cover box code was replaced "recently".
