Feature Request: Ability to Archive Chats

Hi, I would very much appreciate the ability to archive certain chats: Problem: I have a long chat list in which a lot of chats are not active anymore – but I don’t want to delete the chat history. Proposed solution: Ability to archive chats. For examples on how this feature could be implemented, see Signal on iOS or WhatsApp.

+1000. How is it that Whatsapp, Hangouts, Messenger, and a litany of other proprietary closed-source programs have this basic feature and Telegram doesn't??

Version 3.11 introduces Archived Stickers – are archived chats planned in the future? Is anybody working on Telegram even looking at the issues here on GitHub?

The official channel for feature requests is through Settings, under "Ask a question". I don't think that creating an issue here will get it to the dev.
