Feature request: release control of notification sounds #304

I like using BiteSMS, especially the quickcompose from the lockscreen and the easy quickreply to incoming txts. I also like using ToneFX to control my sound effects. These two have always played nicely together. Now I like using mobilenotifier even more than BiteSMS on the homescreen or in apps because the notification is less intrusive. BiteSMS can play nicely with mobilenotifier in terms of appearance because I can set BiteSMS to be my notification / quickcomposer on the lockscreen and let it use the "Apple" notification system on the homescreen. Likewise mobilenotifier can take control of notifications on the homescreen and release control on the lockscreen.

HOWEVER, there exists a problem with mobilenotifier not working well with ToneFX; mobilenotifier can not release control of sound effects. There is a decent blog about how to get mobilenotifier working with BiteSMS and Lockinfo here: http://theforbiddenapples.wordpress.com/2011/05/30/mobilenotifier-bitesms-and-lockinfo-the-seamless-and-beautiful-relationship/ But it concludes that to avoid the extra notification sound, you have to disable sound in the ios system settings, AND in BiteSMS. Mobilenotifier will then alert you to a sound, but it is the default ios tone (no way to change it).

FEATURE REQUEST: please put a control option in the mobilenotifier settings so that it can release control of notification sounds. This will allow it to work better on systems with other notification apps.

YES I NEED THIS SAME PROBLEM!!!

I'm sure you meant you "have" this same problem, not that you "need" this problem. You might "need" the same solution, but currently I think we will have to wait for a developer to add this feature.
