Maybe fixes #16?

This code does not work on my machine, so if it fixes the problem on yours, @clairemerot, we'll have to figure out what's going on.

No I'm afraid it does not fix it for me either... :-( Sorry! the spaces/ backslaches change was a dead end. Let's forget about it. something else must be blocking R to execute the bcftools properly to get positions, samples and lines. I'll let you know if we figure out what's wrong on the course server.
