new layers from yiming #9

I've put in the new layers, and in the process moved them to a subdirectory, to keep things tidier. I've checked that the SLiM script runs (locally), and I think fixed up the param_grid whatnot to run - but, could you have a look through to see if you notice anything I've messed up, @giliapatterson?

(To see what's changed, look at the "Files changed" tab.) If it looks good to you, then just hit the "merge" button.
