Since Destroy 1.0 seems to add more to inorganic chemistry, I suggest the ability to precipitate ionic compounds from solution.
Salts start precipitating from a liquid when their (perhaps temperature dependant) solubility product gets exceeded
these could be a few select, useful salts (like metal hydroxides, carbonates or alkali chlorides) or perhaps even a nbt-powered custom salt item with variable composition AxBy
of course the same salt items can be dissolved again in a basin or vat in water
Bonus suggestion: If carbonates or sulfies get added, make CO2 or H2S (not added yet) dissociate in water by a small amount (analytical cation separation anyone?)
Right now this would not solve any big issues the mod has, but it would be a nice touch. Applications I can think of besides being more realistic:
more compact storage of compounds
ability to selectively separate ions without the use of the centrifuge
ooo, pretty shiny colorful items go brr!
open up the possibility to make ore dissolution yield trace byproducts of other metals
Overall, reading the upcoming features report has made me very excited for all the things to come. I cant wait!
I will probably work on something like that on a fork once 1.0 releases and my exams finish, but maybe something similar will be included in 1.0 so who knows
