It was always the aim to rebase ESP8266 patchset on top of the upstream lwIP repository. This is now done: https://github.com/pfalcon/lwip-esp8266 . This project is thus deprecated.

Great work on this! Will you end up changing the submodule in esp_open_sdk into a clone of upstream soon?
