Known bugs:
we need to convert the events' dates to eastern time before sending them clientside--this is still causing problems when the 5 hour difference crosses a day boundary. think that's on your end.
the scraper is now importing duplicate events for me. idk if that's because there are duplicate events online, or because there's a bug. two feature requests: instead of having the scraper put out a list of random locations, a print statement like "6 events added" would be nice. also, can i specify an array of dates, not just one? like ['yyyymmdd', 'yyyymmdd', ...]?
rake db:scrape['20121221'] doesn't import any events, though there's at least one

The browse and organization stuff still needs to be done. i feel like i've done my fair share...i'm gonna work on job applications until you catch back up. Some specs:
for all day events, make it start at 12:00 a.m and end at 12:00 a.m. on the next day. that's how i have it implemented right now.
also, should we have all multiday events rendered first, like gcal? or do it order? you'll see what i mean with the long tedx event
let me know what you think about the new popover. i think not having it scrolling everywhere is both simpler and easier to code. the only thing i thought about changing is, instead of having two fixed locations, making it closer to the event. checkout the showPopover method in views/events/index.js and you can try the two out.
i know you have a lot to do, but can you start a comprehensive style for the whole thing that isn't just grey shades? i feel like you'd be better at that.
