[x] increase efficiency by not separating California data to just rbind it back together because it takes time and memory
[x] think about why California SAMPLE_TYPE is being changed to M if is.na == TRUE
[x] the following call that looks for NAs, but they will all be gone, and assigns to R won't work in theory

Andi had notes in the code that all California samples were market samples. Everything in this issue has been dealt with.
