data request for sablefish BDS data #59

Closed melissahaltuch-NOAA closed 3 years ago

The sablefish age data are complete so we need a new, and hopefully final, pull of the BDS data. Thanks, Melissa

Do you know when they uploaded the final ages? Sometimes, it can take up to a week for pacfin to be updated. How many 2020 ages are you expecting? I see 622 ages for 2020 as of 2021-03-08.

My experience with Hake would lead me to believe that once the ages have been sent to the State's from the ageing lab AND have then been sent from the State's to PacFIn that PacFIN updates automatically on Saturday night (if I remember correctly) but can also be updated "manually" upon special request.

They should have been complete last Thursday, our lab wrapped them up a few weeks ago. The numbers look to be in the ballpark. Hopefully this will be the last pull.

Thanks @aaronmberger-nwfsc for the reminder of hake ageing timelines. Though, we may have ages from California to deal with here where we don't with hake and I cannot remember how fast Calcom gets from their database to PacFIN.

melissahaltuch-NOAA commented 3 years ago

There are no sablefish ages from CA for 2021, I was told by the states that the data are now available.
