  1. Add time varying selectivity for the CA rec fishery in the South model. Add a block that would encompass from 1959 to 1972. Provide the model results (biomass, recruitments, and recdevs) and the estimated selectivity curves. Provide information on how the fit to the data improved.

Rationale: STAR panel understands the 1959 to 1972 data encompasses a small amount of CA coastline and may not be representative of the entire area.

@kellijohnson-NOAA Are you still compiling for the presentation? I know that is a lot of work so if yes then thank you.

Figures for this are in "figures\STAR_Day2_request2". I have the comparison with the base, the two-panel comparison, and plots of selectivity all in that folder.

I originally hoped to include this run into the figure we showed this morning based on yesterdays requests on the topic, but results are hardly different so dont think it is worth the work.

@kellijohnson-NOAA The like_table.tex is in figures/STAR_Day2_request2

I find it a tad odd that the length comp fits are poorer with the extra block (and the select for that early block is shifted right of the 1973-1982 block)
