Keyboard not working properly in setup / shell #225

Whenever setup or shell is entered (esc / f1 during boot) the keyboard starts sending random scan codes. In setup it just starts moving and entering menus randomly. In shell this results in random characters at the prompt.

This does not stop even if the keyboard is completely disconnected from the USB port.

Check what you have attached to the GPIO serial pins. This has happened in the past and its always been a poorly gounded serial tty->USB dongle, or something similar sitting on the GPIO serial RX pin.
