Task1 Introduction

Hi, everyone😊. I'm FAN WU. You can call me Wifi. I'm a undergraduate from School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Wuhan University, China, and I major in Spatial Information and Digital Technology.

I want to join this project for several reasons:

  1. I know this project from GSoc program, and I want to participate in 2025 GSoc.
  2. I think I learn lots of developing skills in my classes but I can just use these skills to finish my lesson assignment which is really boring and meaningless. Besides, I believe contributing to a Open Source Software Project is really meaningful and romantic.
  3. I think my major is highly compatible with this project and I know from my upperclassman that this community is really good and inclusive.

Here are some of my skills, I list so much because I don't know which one is really useful for this project🫣🫣:

  1. I am proficient in using Gdal, postgis, openlayers, geoserver, Springboot, Mybatis, Mongodb and other frameworks and tools to develop webgis applications.
  2. I often use sh to solve problems in linux systems, and I love script programming to solve some repetitive work which I consider really cool!
  3. In the development process, I am also used to using git to manage my code and can manage the team code in a standardized way.
  4. I knowledge some basic geography algorithm in my class like Dijkstra and Floyd.
  5. I am capable to use c++ to solve some algorithm problems. And I used to use c++ to develop a simple Flight reservation system(really really simple🥲). I also know how to use opengl in c++ to render DEM data and apply texture on it.
  6. I know the basic geographic data coding format like shp, geojson in vector data and geotiff in raster data. And I know how to use Python to analyse them.

I greatly appreciate everyone's suggestions! Your corrections will help me a lot!
