Yes, why is the default no limit? That's just stupid as it makes it impossible to actually ever change the limit when you have big tables (which is pretty often with a database!) – as it hangs the entire UI.

Tables with over a million rows take forever to load even on fast connections, 1000 would be an easier to use default.
