Nickel menu not showing after following steps #170

Hi I spend days of trying but nickel menu is not showing up on my kobo libra h20. I followed the steps, reset my ereader and restart it but it doesnt seem to work.

What firmware version are you on, and are you using Windows/macOS/other?

I'm having the same issue on Kobo Libra color using macOS and firmware is 4.40.23081

Hey, I am wondering if I can help... I had it installed using chromebook. The way I did is: throw KoboRoot.tgz into /KOBOeReader/.kobo, reboot, customize configuration.txt I can send you the config if you want...
