\pgfplotstabletranspose fails when the 'colnames from' option is used and the column name is that of the first column. The example in the manual: \pgfplotstabletranspose[colnames from=c]\loadedtable{pgfplotstable.example3.dat} works with 'colnames=b' and 'colnames=d' but if 'colnames=a' is used, the following error occurs:
