pgfplots - A TeX package to draw normal and/or logarithmic plots directly in TeX in two and three dimensions with a user-friendly interface and pgfplotstable - a TeX package to round and format numerical tables. Examples in manuals and/or on web site.
I would really like to be able to reorder the legend items. Right now there is no way to control it besides reversing the order. My use-case is that I have a line plot with a lot of lines going up and down and I want to align the order of the legend items with the order lines at the end (last sample point). I don't want to change the z-order, there's one I am especially interested in that should be drawn over the others.
EDIT: small edit to make it clearer what I want to do.
