We are facing the same issue mentioned here: http://www.pgpool.net/mantisbt/view.php?id=318

Although it said it was patched in all 3.4+ versions, our 3.6.6 version shows the same thing. Its basically an error generating from pgsql function which causes this. pgpool tries to run it forever. any setting that we can change?

Please try the latest version: 3.6.9.
