Music slowing down doesn't necessarily sound like a buffer size issue. However
if you want to increase the alsa buffer use -a 80 on the squeezelite command
line. You can replace 80 with larger numbers to see what impact it has.

I think I have figured out how to get to the squeezebox command line (I think!!)
I navigated to the installation dictionary and where squeezelite is installed
as squeezelite-armv6hf
/usr/bin/squeezelite-armv6hf
but when I try to enter squeezelite-armv6hf -a 80
i get a notice saying "/usr/bin.squeezelite-arm6hf: Permission Denied"
Any help??

Sorry can't help - this will be due to however squeezelite is being started.
Suggest looking at how this is started or asking the packager or the startup
script.
