I'd like to have the option to install parquet_s3_fdw from the "official" package repositories. I am willing to contribute some effort if given pointers.

Thank you for your interest to contribution.

I think we can consider with reference to SQLite FDW. Our project does only GitHub release and registering sources into PGXN currently in SQLite FDW. (https://pgxn.org/dist/sqlite_fdw/)

So it will be the starting point to register sources into PGXN.

And further packageing effort will need consulting with PostgreSQL Yum Repository members. https://redmine.postgresql.org/projects/pgrpms/issues

On the other hand, we also need to consider how to package dependent libraries as technical aspect.
