too much logging to console #39

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.run eclipse
2.install v1.0.7
3.observe console

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to see no output on console (or, at least, only output when a
grave or critical problem is encountered).  Instead, I see is lots of
information on console, logging normal activity.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

v1.0.7; Linux / Eclipse Ganymede

Please provide any additional information below.

The problem is log4j file that logs debug-level to console by default.
