Support for temporal data #24

It would be great to explicitly incorporate display of temporal data; e.g. by 
incorporating a simple slider such as in the Google Earth interface, an 
interactive field (such as in the Fusion Tables filter), or best yet a slick 
option e.g. similar to SIMILE's TimeMap: http://code.google.com/p/timemap/.

Open feature request to support the Historic Imagery feature for imagery layers 
within GME such that images may be viewed through time via Google Earth and the 
Google Earth API.

Workaround in GME is to group images into different imagery layers based on 
date, but this will not utilize the Time Slider within Google Earth.

I was thinking of point or other shapefiles uploaded not imagery, but I suppose 
the same solution would work for all. The issue with having different layers is 
that sometimes you want to look at a specific date or date range for things 
that change with time - this would require separate processing and uploading of 
many layers potentially. Thanks!
