Misleading error when incomplete email address is used in Advanced Search #6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open the Advanced search window for Data, Layers or Maps
2. Enter part of an email address in the Creator field

What is the expected output? 
A meaningful error message that the email address was not found, or may be 
incomplete.

What do you see instead?
Error: "Page failed to load"

Workaround:
Enter the full email address in the Creator field.
