Character cannot engage fight with enemies #254

Describe the bug I started playing my first character today and I was doing the main quest at the Meadow Ruin. I logged out mid-way and came back in only to realize my character cannot engage with any enemy. They rush toward my character, but the battle did not engage. I basically walked around the whole cavern with many enemies following me and battles did not happen. I also tried to come out of the ruin and walked to other area like the beach and the crabs cannot attack me. Also, I can still pick up items and loots as long as the enemies are not on my tail. I tried to log out and log in many times, even rebooting my PC, but nothing can fix this issue. So, I don't know what I can do at this point.

In this screenshot here, you can see that the crystal golems were behind my character, but no battle happened. image

Hi thank you for your bug report. This has been recently reported by another player in Discord. So it appears to be a critical issue affecting multiple people.

I will be focusing on fixing this and I will be releasing a patch as soon as I can. Expect it to take a few days as this is a mystery.

This problem has been identified and has a temporary resolution/fix. Go into Settings and disable the "Welcome Screen" to "Hide" (Adventure Guide) from auto appearing on start up. In the Interface panel of settings. I will release an actual patch that will fix this soon.
