shinyapps.io URL connectivity issue #468

When i try the app on shinyapps.io i keep getting the following whenever i choose a package - is this a known issue?

Okay, pushed branch called demo-shinyapps.io-noURLChecker that temporarily removes the url checker and redeployed while we figure out why this URL isn't playing nicely with shinyapps.io:

@borgmaan or @Jeff-Thompson12, if you look at this, feel free to adjust branch fix-demo-connect branch directly which has an open draft PR (#469). Thanks!
