Chromecast seems to always send video signal in 1080p ignoring native
resolution of TV. A lot of older/cheap 720p HDTVs (usually with 1360x768 native
resolution) look completely AWFUL in such configuration due to scaling and
post-processing. On the other hand when signal is sent in native resolution
(like 1360x768/60hz) the TV switches to "computer mode" and display is pixel
perfect. The difference between playback from my laptop and chromecast is
striking.
Please detect optimal resolution and/or add resolution settings for best image
quality.
