Currently it is not possible to adjust the sound via an equalizer on the 
Chromecast Audio. The High Dynamic Range option is the only filter I know of.

A 30 band equalizer inside the device options would be great to e.g. lessen the 
effects of room modes. It would also make the Chromecast Audio a more 
professional device.

Maybe it would even be possible to include some kind of auto-eq with 
app-assisted drc measurement? Should be fairly simple to implement. Sonos 
recently added this. 
Of course Smartphone mics are not ideal for this kind of thing, but it might be 
enough for a basic setup that the user could then manually fine-tune.
