Update of CIUS/Extension Metadata

The official EU list of CIUSs/Exentensions shows 14 data types while the registry provides 12 data types (see lists below).

Although the EU Wiki seems outdated:

the Wiki is likely one of the best starting points.

EU Wiki Data Types

  1. Country
  2. Sector
  3. Identifier
  4. Registration status
  5. Name
  6. Type
  7. Purpose
  8. Publisher
  9. Governing entity
  10. Underlying specification
  11. Further info
  12. Technical Resources
  13. Status
  14. Contact

Our Registry Prototype Data Types

  1. Artefact name
  2. Type
  3. Country
  4. Sector
  5. Purpose
  6. Publisher
  7. Governing Entity
  8. Underlying spec
  9. Further information
  10. Status
  11. Contact Details

Our Goal - Accomplishing Digitalization by improved Data

The rule of thumb is that the more structured and precise the data the easier we can work with the data.

For instance, instead of a single general

  1. Technical Resources data field

We might want have the

  1. Website - Landing page (human access) and
  2. the URL of the ZIP of the XSD and
  3. the URL of the ZIP of the schematron files

for automated download / validation.

This and more will be in detail elaborated in the CEN TC 434 WGs starting likely in September.

EU Wiki Data in a Spreadsheet

I like to share the data of the EU Wiki as more structured data by extracting them as followed:

  1. Log-in to the EU Wiki
  2. Exporting the Wiki to Word DOCX format
  3. Saving to ODT in Word
  4. Opening in LibreOffice Writer and Copy/Paste only the Table to LibreOffice Spreadsheet
  5. Annotating the Extensions with Color

EU-CIUS_Extensions.ods

For instance, we might save from Calc to CSV text file to easily import the data into software.

We should push EU governments to use a registry (this registry?) to provide all legal information relevant for (inter)national e-vinvoicing in machine-readable (software-understandable) form! For instance, Germany requires the half-up rounding of VAT by law. What does the other 26 EU states require for VAT rounding?
